Anna Cordova

Anna Cordova (They/Them) was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado where they began doing theatre in high school. Before their high school graduation, Anna wanted to be an engineer, following in their mother's footsteps, but found a drive and passion in storytelling and advocacy through live performance.

Anna continued their love for theatre at Colorado State University where they obtained a Bachelor of the Arts in Theatre Design and Technology and received multiple Meritus Awards in Stage Management from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. While in school, they discovered their passion for interdisciplinary leadership and the ongoing research of orgonizational leadership theories and practices. They are passionate about continuing to apply, research, and share critical leadership theories within their work as a Stage Manager, advocate, and human being.

Anna likes to contextualize their leadership approach through a humanistic and community based point of view. They have experienced that if the well being of individuals is attended to first, the individual is then empowered to become involved at a higher level in the collective action of the team. The overall result of this practice in theatre being a cast, crew, and creative team that makes high quality work with a great attention to detail and a willingness to support and collaborate within a high pressure and fast paced environment.

When Anna is not working on shows, they are skiing, climbing, camping, playing video games, or crocheting on the couch with their cat. Anna cares deeply for the people they surround themselves with and will always enjoy a funny bit and a good midday nap.
